To get started, you will need to follow the below simple steps:

1. Create your Reckon Developer Partner account

Sign up to create a free Reckon Developer Partner account. Once you have signed up, you will be able to submit your application form to start integrating with the Reckon API Products, access your subscription key for the approved Reckon API Product and view the Reports of your API calls.

2. Request access for Reckon API Product

To start integrating with a Reckon API Product, you will need to submit your application form. Click here to submit your application form.

3. Obtain oAuth2.0 details

Once your application is approved, you will be provided with your ClientID, ClientSecret and redirectURI (provided by you in the previous step's application form). You will need these details to obtain tokens to access Reckon API Products. Click here to learn more about how Authentication works. By default, every developer is issued with the Authorization Code Flow.

5. List your app on the add-on marketplace

Gain access to over 600,000+ businesses, accountants and bookkeepers by listing your app on the Reckon add-on marketplace. To submit your app, simply email apisupport@reckon.com to book a time to demo your app. You will then be provided with the next steps to submit your app for the Reckon add-on marketplace.

6. Let us know when you've surpassed 1000 or more connections

The Security Standard for Add-on Marketplaces (SSAM) requires a third-party application provider to undergo an advanced security assessment when you surpass 1000 customer connections. The assessment will be reviewed by the Reckon team.

This assessment needs to be conducted and passed annually in order to remain listed on our add-on marketplace.
